On February 1st 1952, the Whittington Handbell Ringers, conducted by Bell Master A.E. Pearson, performed a recital from the ruins of St. Bride’s Church in Fleet Street, London. The Ringers from St. Michael Royal, Dick Whittington’s church in the City, gave the recital on St. Bride’s Day in aid of the rebuilding Fund of St. Bride’s, which was destroyed during the last war’s ‘blitz’.On February 1st 1952, the Whittington Handbell Ringers, conducted by Bell Master A.E.
